Interpreting and translating for courts and service institutions is a highly qualified activity that requires special expertise. Institutions benefit from this, but so do the people who deal with courts and public services. A new certificate course of the Postgraduate Center of the University of Vienna is designed to provide graduates of translational studies with the special knowledge for use in the field of public institutions and especially in courts, starting in the winter semester 2022/23.

In the winter semester 2022/23, the course is available for Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, English and Russian (as linguae francae) in combination with German. From the winter semester 2024/25, further compulsory languages are planned. The costs for the degree programme are 4300 euros.
